Privacy policy

Marmae Inc. ("Marmae", "we") is an Ontario company. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through marmaeinc.com and when you contact us. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws.
What we collect
- When you use our contact form: your name, company, work email, phone number if you give it, and your message.
- When you email us: your email address, the content of your email and anything you attach.
- When you visit the site: our hosting provider records standard technical information in its server logs, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. We use it only to keep the site running and secure.
We don't ask for sensitive information. Please don't include any in your message.
Cookies and tracking
This site doesn't use cookies, analytics, advertising pixels or any other tracking. It loads no content from other websites: fonts and scripts are served from our own domain.
How we use your information
We use your information only to reply to you, discuss our services with you, and keep a record of our correspondence. We don't sell it, rent it, use it for advertising, or add you to a mailing list. If we ever want to send you marketing messages, we'll ask for your consent first.
Who processes it for us
We use a small number of service providers, each bound by its own security and privacy commitments:
- Netlify hosts this website and receives contact form submissions.
- Akismet, through Netlify, screens form submissions for spam.
- Microsoft 365 handles our email.
These providers may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to authorities under local law.
How long we keep it
We keep contact form submissions and related emails for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless a business relationship requires us to keep them longer. Our hosting provider keeps server logs for a short period under its own policies.
How we protect it
The site is served only over an encrypted connection, uses strict browser security settings, and makes no requests to other websites. Access to submissions and email is limited to the people who need it.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Email privacy@marmaeinc.com. We'll reply within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or the Commission d'accès à l'information if you're in Quebec.
Business customers
When a business uses our services, we handle the information in its systems under our agreement with that business, not under this policy.
Children
This site is meant for businesses and isn't directed at children.
